The intersection of Drop Science and Spectroscopy, and the Benefits to Forensic Analysis

06 Mar 2019

Dr. John Nolan will be presenting a case for the use of drop science in spectroscopy – more particularly in applications in Forensics and Raman analysis.

Notable benefits are:

  • Samples are often very small to start with and need to be further divided for scientific and legal reasons
  • Chemically toxic, radioactive, rare or expensive liquids can be studied in such minute quantities that their study becomes both safe and inexpensive
  • Higher concentration samples can be examined because of smaller path length.
