Dr Carole Davenport
Forensic Anthropologist, Liverpool John Moores University
Not content working in just one discipline, Carole’s work to date spans the fields of Forensic Anthropology, Archaeology and Geology, with a splash of Geochemistry for good measure. Her work started out as an exploration into the palaeodemographic evidence provided by human skeletal remains but has since developed into a multi-disciplinary project that explores many factors including effect of skeletal preservation on the burial environment and how it can aid in the development of search strategies. By working closely with experts from many different fields, it has been possible to link together the knowledge required to work on the problems faced in casework. An accredited Forensic Anthropologist, Membership Secretary of the British Association for Human Identification and a member of several professional associations, including the Geoforensic International Network.
