Bob Gallagher MBE

Robert (Bob) Gallagher MBE has spent more than 25 years at the forefront of forensic investigation, specialising in crime scene management, counter-terrorism forensics, and major incident response.

Throughout a distinguished policing career, Bob led forensic and digital investigation teams for Counter Terrorism Policing North West and played a key role in some of the UK's most complex investigations, including serving as Lead Crime and Bomb Scene Manager during the Manchester Arena bombing investigation.

Alongside his operational experience, Robert is an experienced educator and trainer, having taught forensic and crime scene science in both the UK and the Middle East, most recently as a Forensic Science Faculty Member at Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Awarded an MBE in 2019 for services to policing and communities in Manchester, Robert remains passionate about advancing forensic science, professional development, and international collaboration.
