Are you playing Nintendo Forensics?
Digital forensic investigators often rely heavily on automated forensic tools but what if the critical evidence isn’t parsed or even recognised?
This session highlights the risk of overlooked data and the “unknown unknowns” that exist beyond standard tool outputs. It emphasises the need for well-trained practitioners to look beyond routine outputs, applying deeper understanding and curiosity to uncover artefacts that may be missed. Because in the case that matters most, the key evidence may only be found by those willing and equipped to look beyond the tool.
