Mathematics tools for digital forensics

16 Sep 2021
Collaboration across borders and disciplines

This talk will demonstrate how different mathematical tools can be applied to real crimes datasets in order to extract patterns and knowledge from them. Different operators and mechanisms have been implemented in the software called: Business Intelligence Multi-Adjoint System (BintelMas), which employs its own inference engine and it is composed of three main modules: preprocessing, selection and context operations. For example, this talk will include the study on a real data set of the criminal incidence in the city of Bilbao, Spain, and the analysis on human behavior characterization for driving identification in vehicle system to be applied for instance to anti-theft.
