The digital investigation of the future - challenges and opportunities

Conference Theatre
Crime has gone digital and the latest ONS figures show that cybercrime and fraud are the new volume crimes. This is only part of the story however as the way we live our lives through technology means that virtually all crimes now have a digital element, leading to the adage ‘every crime scene is now a digital crime scene’.  This presentation will look at the implications of the digital revolution for the police service, and will highlight how the NPCC Digital Intelligence and Investigation programme is working with police forces and other law enforcement agencies, industry, academia and policy makers to address the skills, tools and processes needed to police the digital age.
